Shop cute stuff online

I find it so hard to get my hands on cute things here in Sweden but thanks to the Internet it's not impossible anymore, even though the shipping often cost a fortune...

I bought the above cellphone charms from StrapYa; a DragonBall ball for Robert, a bowl of spicey noodles and a cute peach that's actually a screen cleaner! I wanted to buy more but the navigation and the shopping cart on that site were giving me so much trouble so I settled with these for now.

This cute little beaded cake is not bought. I got it in a trade I did with bunnyhop. See the carrot on top? Precious!

I'm still expecting a couple of packages that should arrive shortly. I love online shopping. It's so much fun to find something you want (giving that you're being able to buy it) and then it's even more fun when it arrives in a package at your doorstep! It's like opening a present, which you paid for but still!

Now if you're one of those lucky people who have some money to spend, head over to my shopping section because I've added some more links to kawaii shops!

Psst. I've also updated my shop with new earrings and bracelets.

Psst x2. Thanks everyone who has commented and emailed me telling me what a macaw is. I guess this showed my lack of biology skills. Or maybe just my very limited English vocabulary. Heh.

New belongings

I finally have curtains! I got these super cute fabric and my mom sewed curtains out of it since I don't have a sewing machine at my place.

I was at my parents' the whole last week and when I came back there was a package at the post office waiting for me to pick it up. Look and behold:

A cute card, animal crackers with strawberry dip(!) and two beautifully wrapped belated birthday gifts from dear woolloomooloo! I had to sit and stare at the wrapping for a while before I unwrapped and reavealed the goodies:

I almost wanted to cry (out of joy) when I saw what she had sent me. An Unazikin(!!!) and a super soft scarf she had knitted!

The Sakura Unazukin nods or shakes her head when you talk to her. So precious! I've been wanting one ever since I first saw them online and I can't believe I actually own one now! *happy*

This was _so_ good! Robert and I both loved the strawberry dip and were amused by the interesting animals.

Last yummy cracker. I have no idea what a macaw is and the shape of the cracker doesn't help much either...

So much goodies and all from the lovely woolloomooloo *hugs her tightly* I can never thank you enough!

Here are two pics of another yummy thing:

The cake my mom bought for Easter when Robert and I were visiting.

Oh it was so yummy! I normally don't like cake but I could have eaten the whole one myself (maybe...). It was so creamy. Mmm...

Happy Easter!

Robert and I drove to my parents' last Saturday and we're staying here til Sunday. It's nice to come home and get fed and taken cared of hehe. My parents are stuffing us with so much food all the time that I haven't felt hungry one single time since I came here...

My mom is preparing the dinner right now and I'm kind of bored so I'm posting some foody pictures here for fun.

Robert's bowl of noodles with fried tofu and green onions my dad made him for breakfast. Yum!

I was digging through some of my drawers and found a box with some small clay things that I'd made when I was about 10 years old:

These two are the first things I made out of clay and I did them at my friend's place in first grade. Shortly after that day I made my mom buy me some so I could play at home too. Back then I used a clay called Zenit.

I've always liked making small things. (The one cent is there for size comparision. I did not make it heh...)

These are the food I made for my favorite teddy bear (I never liked dolls...)

I'm holding the ice cream so you can get an idea of the size of the clay food.

Everyday I would put out different combination of the food for my teddy...

Since I loved tiny things back then too I _had_ to make a miniature version of my teddy (forgot to take pic of him...) and some tiny food for the mini teddy.

Some of the food...

...the junkfood...

...the sweets...

...and a table setup.

My mom is done with the dinner now. Time to eat so I'll end this entry with one last pic:

One of my handmade mini chicks standing on a real egg wishing you a happy Easter!

Stuff for you, me and Fredflare

Want to see some new things I've made? Of course you do! Heh...

For you:

Four new earrings designs have just been added to Cornyness Shop. The raspberry, onigiri and ghost buny (spelled with one 'n') are made of Fimo and the last one consists of a starshaped glass bead and a key charm.

For me:

I had some leftover wire after finishing a ring for an order so I made a ring for myself.

For fredflare:

Have you heard about the Next Big Thing at fredflare.com? It's an annual contest for anyone to participate in and I decided to join in the last minute so I made something quickly and signed me up. Thus the super bad lighting in the above picture since I took it at night. I call it the "Mini Chick & Egg Earrings". Is it possible to come up with a less creative name? I challenge you to do so.

Anyway, guess what? I received an email from the people at fredflare a few days ago telling me that the Mini Chick & Egg Earrings have made it to the next round!! They asked me to send a sample to them _and_ a sample of my Junkfood earrings _and_ Tropical earrings. That means they actually take the time to go to people's website even! I think that is really nice of them since they probably have tons to do right now because of the contest and all.

Unfortunately I only had a limited amount of those leafshaped beads so I could only make two pairs of Tropical earrings (which have both been sold by now) and therefore I couldn't offer it to be wholesaled. They also asked me to send along a catalogue. Hah! I don't even have a businesscard let alone a catalogue... But I did include a pair of Junkfood earrings in the package to fredflare.com. Now we'll see what happens. There are so many talented people participating in this contest that I won't be sad if I "lose" to them. But being one of the winners would definately make my day. Or year even.

Me, my hair and I

Last Tuesday I went to an audition and got selected to be one of Wella Studios hairmodels on the following Thursday. They got to do whatever they wanted with my hair and I wasn't allowed to give my own opinion about the haircut or anything. And this is the result:

At first I felt so miserable because it's _so_ short in the back but now I'm starting to like it more each day. It still feels weird not to have that long and thick hair anymore even though it's kind of a relief. They made my hair 8 times thinner and you should have seen the big pile of hair when they were done! When they'd broomed all the hair together the pile was like 1 meter (40 inches) in diameter. I'm not kidding. It looked like I had a large dead furry animal right next me.

Anyway, this was a really fun experience and I would do it again if I got another chance. Even if I sometimes do miss my long hair. Like now...
