Hi!

Thanks guys for helping me name my newest softie friend (see previous post). He went from having no name to getting a long name. He now goes by Mungo Bill Yoko Moko. Hihi

So what have I been doing this past week? Well, I've been spending _all_ my time with Robert, because I'll be going to my parents on Tuesday and from there we (my parents and I) will be heading to the US on Friday. I've been looking forward to it for a long time (ever since I was there the last time three years ago) but now I have mixed feelings. I know I'll be missing Robert a lot but at least this time I'll have something to look forward coming home to after my trip is over *smiles*

I've also received two packages since I last blogged:

Package #1

A trade with Kelly: three super duper cute and pink bunny bells, some buttons and a pretty apron! I think I'm going to use one bunny bell as a cellphone dangly, one as a necklace and one to keep in my pocket all the time <3

Package #2

Goodies I received by placing 2nd on the Easter competition held at a LiveJournal community. A handmade strawberry brooch, six cute kidpirate pins and a big plastic star necklace.

Okay, enough typing for today. Time to play some Final Fantasy 7 with Robert!

New material things

New jewelry in Cornyness Shop! See, I've used some of the beads I just bought *wink wink* Anyway, this will probably be the last batch of things I add to my shop before I go on a looong trip. Yup yup I'm going on a trip! In two weeks! To the US! Whohoo!

I've also _finally_ fixed a little thingy at the shop's website so people can sign up for the newsletter. You'll just get a short email whenever I update with new items, is going to have a sale or other important events that has to do with the shop. It will be written in plain text, nothing fancy. Partly because some email clients don't support HTML but mostly because I'm lazy right now.

I went to a themepark with a friend yesterday. We went on some rides, played some games and tried our luck on some lottery. I didn't win anything but I bought this cute little fella instead:

He's so cute and he's sitting on my shoulder right now *pets it* So soft, so soft...

He still hasn't got a name yet. Want to help me? I'm so bad at coming up with names (just look at the names of my items in the shop *rolls eyes*).

We also went a little crazy and decided to go into the haunted Gasten Ghost Hotel. The "ghosts" are real people wearing lots of makeup and dressed up in these old clothes walking around scaring you. You go in there in groups of 5-6 people and you have to walk in a line holding on to the shoulders of the person infront of you.

My friend and I didn't have more luck here than at the lottery and ended up going in there with four 10 years old boys. Two of them were infront of my friend and two were behind me. The kid in the front got _so_ freaked out that sometimes he was running like crazy and sometimes he just froze and refused to take another step. And because of this frequent, but randomly, change of speed the boy behind me was either pulling my shoulders or stepping on my heels.

I was more concerned and scared of having my shoulders ripped off or having no heals left, than of the "ghosts" that were popping up around every corner. Next time (if I ever dare walking into that place again) I'll make sure to have people, who are not as easily scared as I am, with me.

Hamburgers, fries, beads and stickers

I got a reorder from FredFlare who needed _another_ 60 pairs of Junkfood earrings (or Fastfood as they like to call it). I got the order on Tuesday (June 6) and they have to be shipped out this Monday (June 12). So... guess what I've been doing this week?

It's amazing how much you can do when you have deadline to meet. Last time I had over a month to get the earrings ready and still I thought I barely made it. But I guess it went faster this time since I didn't have to think about upcoming finals...

This is how my week looked like:

Tuesday: Received the order
Wednesday: Made 30 fries
Thursday: 30 fries and 10 hamburgers
Friday: 10 hamburgers
Saturday: 20 hamburgers
Sunday (today): 20 hamburgers

So I guess this explains why I've been so quiet this week even though there's no schoolwork that's been taking up my time.

I love beads. No matter what material they're made of, as long as they are in a pretty color or have a cute shape, I'll like them.

I keep some of my favorites on my desk so I can see them clearly whenever I feel like playing with beads.

The rest are stored in ziplock bags and plasic boxes. There are at least five times more beads here than on my desk.

I've been trying not to buy more beads until I've used up most of them, but it's so hard. Especially when I _need_ to go to the beadstore once in a while to restock on some perticular beads to make things people have bought from the shop.

Had to go there earlier this week to get more key charms but I ended up buying all of the above. They will probably show up in future earrings designs very soon.

Another thing I like is stickers. Cute stickers. I got these from eBay and they arrived last week. Food with faces on, cute animals and teeth. I'll probably never use them. Just keep them in my drawer, take them out now and then to look at them, and then put them back. Even though I love looking at cute things I'm getting a teeny tiny bit tired of this ritual. I just don't know how to use the stickers and be able to display them without wasting them. Hard to explain. Okay, I feel weird now so I'll just end this entry. Now.

Shop update

Just a little quick update to let you know that there are some new earring designs in Cornyness Shop. These are all made using Fimo clay. Soon I'll be updating with more stuff made of glass and plastic beads.

I'm planning on starting a newsletter for the shop. They will only be sent out when there's an update, an upcoming sale or if I'm going to take a break.

New month, new stuff

I had a near death experience the other day! I was sitting on the mat (I didn't have a sofa just a bunch of pillows and blankets on the mat) and spotted a black string about 3 cm (1.2 in) long right infront of me. I figured it came from Robert's black socks and didn't care much about it but then it looked like it moved! So I looked back and realized that it was a millipede! *cries* I freaked out but luckily Robert was there and saved me. He picked it up with a piece of paper, made a package out of it and flushed it down the toilet. I barely dared to use the bathroom for the rest of that day. That's what you get from living in Sweden, near the nature and with reconstruction going on right outside your window. I decided to never sit on the floor ever again and a couple of days later I went to IKEA and now I have this.

Later on I heard from my friend that she had also found a milliped in her livingroom last week. I suspect a plot against us.

Anyway, I have received some more pleasant surprises lately. Two packages arrived:

One from Laura containing a pretty white boho top, a cute hamster pen and some beads! Thank you so much! I will try and make you a pair of earrings using those beads.

The second thing that came in mailbox was this super cute top I bought from colorfulcloud. I can't wait til I'll be able to wear it! If only the clouds and the cold wind would go away and make room for the sun and the warmness again...

I'd been looking forward to X-Men The Last Stand and Mission: Impossible III but I actually managed to fall asleep during both of the movies... Now I'm looking forward to The Omen which will be released in June 6, 2006. 666, get it? Get it? *excited* That's also the Swedish national day (equivilent of 4th of July in the US).
