A cute little guy

The other day I saw a little hedgehog taking a walk.

I approched him slowly and gave him a friendly poke.

He turned around and I handed him a fresh green leaf as a gift.

He placed the leaf on his back, excused himself and said he was in a hurry.

A few minutes later I saw him laying in the grass taking a nap.

Finally a shop update

Some new earring designs and a bracelet added to Cornyness Shop.

Gah I'm so tired after taking all the pictures of each item, editing them and updating the webshop that I'm all exhausted now...

I need to lay down for a while with my Nintendo DS light in one hand and the stylus in the other. Puh~

I have to play

I've been trying to catch up on orders this past week so I haven't had the time to make anything new for the shop yet...

Okay, that was partly a lie. Well, not the whole truth at least. I _have_ been spending lots of time on the orders that were placed during my vacation, but that's not the only thing that's been taking up my time lately.

This my friend, is the biggest time absorbing thing ever: my new Nintendo DS Light! *hugs it tightly* Robert got it for me *hugs him tightly*

It's so white and pretty. And it's best friend with my ever so beautiful iBook G4. They go so well together!

The game I'm addicted to at the moment is Animal Crossing: Wild World. It's just so cute and so great it almost makes me want to cry out of joy. If you have a Nintendo DS, you'll _have_ to get this game. I'll force you! Using mind control. Then we can exchange friend codes and visit each others town! Whee!

Another joy bringer is the sweet Poppy, who sent me these Hello Kitty beads as a surprise! I feel so spoiled. Can't wait to make something out of them. I just need to put down my DS first... Hmm... Funny. Seems like it's glued to my hand... Guess I'll just have to keep playing...

US trip Part 3. What I bought

Note: _Lots_ of pics in this entry.

One of the things I enjoy doing the most in the US is shopping. Well, actually I like doing that no matter where I am...

Here are some of my new belongings:

Clothes! I got a knitted sweater, a pair of jeans, a dress, a skirt and eight tops. It's very unlike me not to have bought any shoes _or_ bags...

The few accessories I got, a belt, two bracelets and three pairs of earrings. I've been looking for one of these elastic belts I can wear around my waist for so long and I'm glad I've finally found one I liked.

I love lotions! These are from Victoria's Secret and Bath & Body Works.

I got some magazines and a book to read on the long and boring plane rides. If you've never read anything by Terry Pratchett, you definitely should. He's way of writing is funny and so brilliant.

I realized this summer that I have an addiction for Icebreakers, so I stocked up on some since you can't find these here in Sweden.

A mini roulette set. I don't even know how to play it but now I have a reason to learn.

An iloveegg character in a lion-suit. It has a different face on the other side.

A plant growing out of an egg! You crack and grow it. I'll make sure to post some pics of the plant when I start hatching. Fun fun fun!

Two photo boxes that I'm planning on using to store some crafty supplies.

Two bento boxes (lunchboxes) and some small empty bottles to put sauce in to bring to lunch. I got the blue and white bento box for free.

There's even a handle thingy for the pink bento box. So cute *holds it and skips around*

I got some different Asian candy at the Chinese candystore and the Japanese supermarket. I don't like eating sweets at all, I bought some to give away and some because of the cute packaging...

One of the few candy I do like is Pocky which is _really_ hard to find here in Sweden. I got one big package for myself and a Men's for Robert hehe.

Heh I thought it was funny with chicken flavored noodle snack. This one is also for Robert

I bought two Japanese amigurumi books! I've been wanting to get some Japanese crafty books for so long and these two are the first ones.

Some papers to fold lucky stars with. I love the pattern in the third pack with the sakuras and bunnies.

I got a little crazy when I went bead shopping. There was so much to choose from! I spent $50 in a day on beads, charms and lockets. Whee...

These are some of my favorite ones.

I have a feeling that you'll see some of the beads in the next shop update.

US trip Part 2. What I ate

Being an Asian living in Sweden means starving or at least not being able to eat what we call good food. Since I was born here I'm pretty much used to the somewhat limited ingredients you can find in the stores but I still do miss a lot of edible things I can only find abroad.

The following are some pics of what I ate and drank in the US that I already miss. (Sure I can get some of these in the "Chinese" restaurants here in Sweden but the real deal taste _far_ much better.)

Deep fried tofu topped with green onion. So crispy... *drools*

Fried rice with redroasted meat, shrimps, eggs, peas and Chinese lettuce (don't know its real name heh). This sort of fried rice is my dad's favorite.

Sushi bento and Strawberry soda. Pure love.

Rice with chicken, redroasted meat, different kinds of mushrooms, broccoli, stringbeans and peanuts cooked in a special way in a clay pot. It's kind of oily but it's _so_ yummy.

Spicy soup with different kinds of mushroom, egg, tofu and leek. Served with rice. This was really good but hard to eat because it was so spicy and the weather was hot too. I was sweating during the whole meal...

Miso soup.

Lamb with cucumber, onion served with rice.

And last but definitely not the least, my absolute favorites: Tapioca drinks! How I wish I had one in my hand right now...

US trip Part 1. What I did

Hello! *waves frantically*
Long time no see/read/type!

I've been in the US for five weeks and I just got back to Sweden on Sunday night.

I was visiting my aunt, four uncles and nine cousins who live LA and San Jose. We...

..went to Mexico. It was so easy to pass the border and enter Mexico (didn't even have to show passport or anything) but it was another thing to get back in to the US.

..went to Las Vegas and met "Simon Cowell". This time I was _finally_ allowed to walk around freely in the casinos since I turned 21 earlier this year. I gambled a bit. Lost some, won some.

..spent a day with my friend Betty (who I got to know during a trip to China four years ago), her boyfriend and her doll.

..played pool. My first time ever! (Look at my finger heh) It's so much fun and I have no clue why I haven't tried it before.

..took a Swing class which was so much fun that we danced til after midnight.

..went to the movies. I've seen 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest' two times now.

..shopped, played games, drove around, hung out, ate out etc. Whee! It was fun *bounces*

I also experienced a blackout at a mall. It gets hot _fast_ without AC and _really_ yucky in the restroom when the toilets have automatical flush thing and there is no electricity...

And I spent the whole last week in the US being sick, lying in bed, losing weight and almost fading away. Luckily I got better before the 13 hour long plane ride back to Sweden!

See you then!
