C o r n y n e s s ?

As you already know this is Cornyness, my little space on the Internet. The following is all the information you need to know about it.

This personal site of mine was first published online on May 5, 2002. Back then it was on Telia, a Swedish phone company's server, and therefore it had a loooong URL with tons of numbers. Nobody could ever remember it (nor me) so I got one of those redirect URLs which everybody loves and hates.

Luckily, a couple of months later I received an email from Sandy at Rainbowcandy.com who asked me if I wanted to be hosted by her. "What a nice surprise!" I exclaimed and accepted the kind offer instantly.

I moved in and lived there happily until I one day found a chocking message on Sandy's website. She was going to close down Rainbowcandy.com because of lack of time! The lightning just struck me right from the clear blue sky. Oh the horror of being homeless!

After a lot of wandering and pondering I finally went to Pick-Me.net to try my luck on finding a decent host. I applied for several .com and .net owners. Then I crossed my fingers, held my thumbs (holding thumbs is what we do in Sweden) and said a little prayer.

Just a few days after the spamming I started getting positive replies from some sweet people. And very soon I moved in to the bestest host I've ever had; Dan at OrangeCow.net *bows in respect*

Later on Dan decided to buy a new domain Pixeltastic.com so I moved along with him once again.

And then on August 15 2003 the wonderful Dan decided to be even sweeter than ever and bought me a domain! *squeals* So now I have my own domain! Cornyness.com. I owe you so much Dan!

In the beginning of January 2004, Dan's account got suspended since he couldn't afford it any longer. He told me about this company that was offering free hosting at the moment, but only to people who lived in the US or Canada. I managed to convince my cousin to help me out so I got a free hosting plan! This is the first time I'll be on my own. Wish me luck!

"But why is this site named Cornyness?" I hear you mutter. Don't ask me. I have no idea.
